Be Blessed Verse

This week’s verse is Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

This verse is a call to those who are tired, burdened, and seeking rest. It is an invitation from Jesus to come to Him and receive the peace and rest that only He can offer. By taking His yoke upon us and learning from Him, we will find rest for our souls.

The yoke refers to the teachings and disciplines that Jesus offers, which may seem difficult at first but ultimately lead to a peaceful and fulfilling life.

Jesus promises that His yoke is easy and His burden is light, meaning that following Him and living according to His teachings is not meant to be a heavy or burdensome task. Rather, it is an opportunity to find true rest and peace in a world full of chaos and weariness.

3 Expert (and Yet Surprisingly Simple) Ways to Make Your Listing Feel Luxe

When selling your home, it is important to make the appearance as desirable to as many people as possible. You want to grab the attention of as many buyers as possible.

Here are three ways to elevate your listing, plus a couple of bonus pro tips.

Tip #1: Dress Every Window in Designer Treatments

Window treatments add a look tailored to the room’s aesthetic and make the room look well put together.

I suggest neutral colors, sheer draperies, or very subtle patterns if you are selling your home to appeal to a wide variety of potential buyers.

Window coverings add style, privacy, and energy efficiency, and this works well to add a simple elegance and complete look to each room.

Tip #2: Style Each Forgotten Space Thoughtfully

What are some of the forgotten areas of a home that you can add beauty to add impact to the overall look and feel of the property and to help sell the home?

The laundry room, powder room, and breakfast nook, to name a few.

These areas may seem not as important, but they actually add purpose to the home and give it a complete overall impression.  By staging these areas too, the homeowner creates a more grand, cohesive, and attractive overall experience.

Tip #3: Pick Pieces with Perceived Visual Weight

This is an area that most novices do not think about.

So, put on your designer hat and think about visual weight.

I am not talking about actual weight, but visual weight.  Using pieces that have a solid look and feel can add a sense of luxury and solidity to the space that is attractive to potential buyers.  Using these kinds of pieces can even affect the price point because they add luxe.  By using these impressive and weighty pieces it actually gives the impression of an inviting and comfortable atmosphere.

Come home, kick up your feet, relax, grab a refreshing drink, and enjoy the room and home!

Bonus Tips that are gold for getting your home ready for sale

Bonus Tip 1. Fresh Paint

If possible this is the least expensive and most effective way to really upgrade your home, while giving it a facelift and a clean and polished look at the same time.

Be sure to get my The Perfect Paint Color Guide so that you don’t make any unnecessary and expensive color mistakes.

Bonus Tip 2.  Decluttering

When you look at interior design magazines, usually, there is no clutter.

When showing a home, you don’t want the closets and drawer stuff either.  You want it all to show that there is plenty of storage space and plenty of closet and drawer space and so forth.

Clutter can detract and take away from the home’s beauty.  So declutter and allow the buyer to see the home and envision themselves in the home.

Bonus Tip 3.  Lighting

This is one trick that I use when selling homes (yes, I am a Realtor).

Natural light is the best, but interior lighting is great too!  Only when showing, do I turn on all the lights.

There is something about well-lit homes that makes them shine.

If it is evening, oh my goodness, dimmers give that beautiful romantic glow.

So definitely keep the lighting in mind for that beautiful luxe look.

As our verse for this week says, His yoke is easy and His burden is light, be sure to go to Him this week and He will give you rest!

This is soooo for me this week too.  My life has been very full, heck-ick, and lots of big decisions.  So I love this verse and  I want to walk in His rest with Him this week…in spite of all that is going on.

And I pray that the Lord is with you, delighting and rejoicing over you with singing this week.
